Derrick Rose - The Red Knight Rises

Chicago Bulls star and 2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose suffered a devastating knee injury at the beginning of last season’s playoffs. Now Adidas is running a marketing campaign centered around his impending — and, for his team and city, much needed — comeback.
So, to recap: we’ve got a fallen hero, a city in need and calls for the return of an absent savior. Sound like the plot to a familiar summer blockbuster? That’s apparently what YouTube user MaccaNba thought, mashing up footage from NBA games and a recent Rose commercial with the soundtrack to a trailer for The Dark Knight Rises.
MaccaNba’s epic result — titled “The Red Knight Rises” — casts LeBron James in the role of Bane and the Miami Heat as the vile gang of heels threatening Rose’s beloved Chicago. Uploaded last week, the video hasn’t quite blown up yet, but it’s been gaining increased momentum on the social web Wednesday morning.

Dentist and Digital Marketing

Dentists Drill Deeper into Digital for Marketing Posted: 21 Aug 2012 09:07 AM PDT The Internet Dental Alliance is ramping up efforts to bring dentists the most cutting edge tools and resources available for marketing and lead generation. Dentists who are new to internet dental marketing can now set up an entire online lead generation campaign easily with the Starter package from Internet Dental Alliance, Inc. This basic version of IDA’s New Patient Marketing Machine, the organization boasts, provides a complete toolkit that makes it possible for doctors who have avoided online marketing to set up a customizable dental practice website within just a few minutes. According to details presented in the announcement this week, the package includes pre-written articles, pre-made videos, lead tracking and much more that dentists need to launch a successful online lead generation campaigns that results in new patients. “I know, just like almost every dentist out there, that a steady stream of new high-value patients solves just about every problem a doctor has,” says Jim Du Molin, founder of Internet Dental Alliance. “That’s why I’ve structured three different packages — each customized to your need for a steady stream of high value new patients.”

Samsung Making Moves in Apple Territory

Samsung Investing Big Bucks in Apple Territory Posted: 21 Aug 2012 12:49 PM PDT Late last year, Apple put the wheels in motion on a new $300 million Austin, Texas-based campus. But Apple apparently isn’t going into Texas alone. Samsung on Tuesday confirmed rumors that the tech giant is similarly investing huge sums of cash into a Texas based facility. “Samsung Electronics Co said on Tuesday it will spend about $4 billion at its chip plant in Austin, Texas, to renovate an existing chip producing line and boost production of system chips, widely used in popular smartphones and tablets,” Reuters reported this afternoon. The investment comes on top of 2.25 trillion won ($1.98 billion) in spending that Samsung announced in June to build a new logic chip plant in South Korea, and the conversion of two memory chip lines into logic chip production earlier this year to meet growing demand from mobile gadget customers such as Apple. “We are extremely pleased to extend our presence in Austin and reinforce Samsung’s capacity for highly advanced logic products,” said Samsung Austin Semiconductor’s president Woosung Han. “The added ability in production will allow our customers to better respond to market needs.”

FORGIVENESS: A Minute With John Maxwell, Free Coaching Video

Alexander Pope, an 18th-century poet said, "To err is human, to FORGIVE divine."

To "love your enemies" goes against human inclination and what "seems right to a man" is A, B and C... Accusation, Blame and Censure... which is why FORGIVENESS is divine.

Unforgiveness is SPIRITUAL POISON! To "have to" REMEMBER that you hate someone for their failures... bearing a grudge, holding in resentments... is a terrible burden.

However difficult we may find it to let go, there is never a wrong time to do the right thing. REMEMBERING that we are subject to the very same faults and failings of others, allows us to keep things in their proper perspective.

When we choose FORGIVENESS, we enter into FREEDOM.

HOPE: A Minute With John Maxwell, Free Coaching Video

HOPE is a beautiful word. As one of the three great virtues, it finds itself between FAITH and LOVE. HOPE is a DESIRE for the well-being of our fellow man... to pull them from the depths of DESPAIR... to breathe life into their beleaguered spirit.

Helen Keller once said, "Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.
Nothing can be done without HOPE and confidence."

Have you ever noticed the H)ighly O)ptimistic P)eople E)xcel?

EVOLVE: A Minute With John Maxwell, Free Coaching Video

e·volve [ih-volv] Show IPA verb, e·volved, e·volv·ing.
verb (used with object).
1.
to develop gradually: to evolve a scheme.

Human beings have the most evolved "mind, body, spirit" core of any of Creation's critters. What does that mean? It means we, as human beings, don't just have destiny, or day-to-day survival to think about. We have a duty to, a responsibility for, our growth. There is no computer on Earth more powerful than the human brain. To whom much is given, much is expected. Consider these things the next time you become impatient. Think on this the next time you become angry. When you are about to throw up your hands and give up hope, remember this... you are most wondrously made. Decide to be what you are. Choose intelligence, logic, wisdom, love... choose wonder, laughter...choose to think your way through an issue, rather than react. You can refuse the gift, but why? Acceptance opens doors, channels, discovery, exploration...GROWTH. EVOLVE. God Bless.

CONSEQUENCE: A Minute With John Maxwell, Free Coaching Video

CONSEQUENCES. There are good consequences, and there are bad consequences, but there are always consequences. What kind of consequences are you generating today?
CONSEQUENCES. God Bless.

A mountain is composed of tiny grains of earth. The ocean is made up of tiny drops of water. Even so, life is but an endless series of little details, actions, speeches, and thoughts. And the consequences whether good or bad of even the least of them are far-reaching.
Sivananda

A good engineer thinks in reverse and asks himself about the stylistic consequences of the components and systems he proposes.
Helmut Jahn

A human being fashions his consequences as surely as he fashions his goods or his dwelling his goods or his dwelling. Nothing that he says, thinks or does is without consequences.

Social Media Access Via Mobile Grows

Mobile users are continuing to turn more frequently to their cell phones for social and gaming purposes, according to the latest data from analyst Comscore. For the quarter ending in June, 36.9 percent of mobile users accessed a social networking site or blog on their handset, up almost a percentage point from 36.1 percent compared to the first quarter 2012. Mobile gaming increased by the same amount, up from 32.6 percent to 33.4 percent quarter on quarter. The numbers might only be slowly creeping up, but the overall pattern shows a greater proportion of mobile subscribers are using their handhelds for traditional desktop tasks. The biggest growth areas for mobile content use were music and apps. Those using their handset to listen to music grew by 2.3 percent to 27.6 percent, while 51.4 percent have used a downloaded app, up from 50 percent last quarter. But the humble text message is still by far the most popular use for mobile devices, with three quarters of users sending a text over the period. And SMS isn’t losing any of its popularity, growing 0.7 percent since March. The news is not so rosy for certain mobile providers, with Comscore revealing that Research In Motion has dipped 1.6 percent to 10.7 percent in its share of smartphone subscribers, losing out to Google's Android and Apple's iOS, which grew to 51.6 percent and 32.4 percent respectively. Android is also winning in the battle of the handset. Although Samsung and LG both dropped slightly in their share of the market, they remain the top two vendors, with 25.6 and 18.8 percent of mobile users respectively. Still, Apple's strong position is highlighted by the research as it managed to creep up by 1.4 percent to 15.4 percent, despite industry concerns that it would lose mobile users in the face of competition from popular Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Nexus, and the continuing wait for the iPhone 5.

CONDUCTING: A Minute With John Maxwell, Free Coaching Video

Benjamin Zander, in the 2008 TED famous presentation said, " The conductor is the only person in the orchestra who doesn’t make a sound. He depends for his power on his ability to make other people powerful."

Great leaders are like great conductors who demonstrate their ability to create an environment where the artistry of others may emerge so that their teams can perform in excellence!

True measure of leadership is done by the quality of the leaders they leave behind as their legacy, not by the number of followers they garnered. And leadership can only be produced by great conductors.

Today is a brand new day, the first day for rest of our lives. Let's begin this day with a thought to be a great conductor today, and everyday going forward! Have a great day!

VULNERABLE: A Minute With John Maxwell, Free Coaching Video

To be VULNERABLE is trusting that we are on a solid foundation only to find ourselves up to our necks in quicksand, then pulling on a broken reed trying to get out of the mire. We put ourselves out there on a limb, realizing too late the branch was flimsy.

Nobody willingly opens themselves to being hurt, offended or wounded... so to be.
VULNERABLE involves RISK... that some flaw we have might be exposed, and being brought to light, we might then be seen in a lesser light by others.

There's no vaccination for faults, flaws, failings, faux pas, foibles.
